About Trisha

Trisha (she/her) is a mother of 3, wife, leggings lover, and birth and breastfeeding support enthusiast.  She is a member of the Canadian Lactation Consultant Association (CLCA) and active member of the breastfeeding community.

As a breastfeeding mother herself, Trisha has 8 years of personal breastfeeding experience.  She has breastfed each of her children, 2 years and beyond.  She views breastfeeding as an effort driven reward for parent and child.

Trisha believes in the strength of support. As a La Leche League Leader and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Trisha is heavily involved in the breastfeeding community. Unbeknownst to her, her path towards becoming an IBCLC started after her first son was born in 2012, when at the time, she was a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Trisha attended La Leche League Canada meetings and quickly learned the value of peer to peer breastfeeding support. In 2016, Trisha became an accredited La Leche League Leader. Trisha started seriously pursuing becoming an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2022, and gained her IBCLC credential, January 2024.

Throughout her adult life, Trisha has been pulled to serve others. She was a massage therapist before moving into working in the hospital and home settings as a Health Care Aid and than a super quick career of being an LPN before becoming a mom herself. Trisha has supported families through welcoming babies Earth side and supporting people and families through death. Trisha is a birth doula and Lactation Consultant, but motherhood will always come first.
